Good for something religion

 

James 1:26-27        

 

Because God values life, all life, we value life, all life!

 

For the love of Christ compels us…because…He died for all, that those who live should no longer live for themselves, but for Him who died for them and rose again. Evidence that our religion is good for something:

 

1.        Useful religion bridles our tongues                                                      V. 26

Let no corrupt word proceed out of your mouth, but what is good for necessary edification, that it may impart grace to the hearers. -Eph. 4:29

           

2.        Useful religion protects fragile life                                                      V. 27

 

“Wash yourselves, make yourselves clean; put away the evil of your doings from before My eyes. Cease to do evil, learn to do good; seek justice, rebuke the oppressor; Defend the fatherless, plead for the widow.”        -Isaiah 1:16-17

3.        Useful religion seeks personal purity                                      V. 27b

 

When sex is practiced apart from the covenant of marriage, all kinds of problems result.
